This qualification comprises of two units
- Understanding the principles and practices of assessment’
- Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding’.
Course Length
This course can be complete within 12 weeks.

Qualification content
The qualification covers a range of topics including
- the role of an assessor
- legislation relating to assessment
- how to plan vocationally related assessments
- assessment methods to use when undertaking vocational assessment
- feedback and internal quality assurance during the assessment process.

Assessment activities include
- the completion of a number of assignment
- observations
- expert witness testimony
- evidence gathered when undertaking vocationally related assessments.

On successful completion of this course, the learner will achieve a UK recognised, fully accredited qualification/certificate – Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement (AAVRA) (RQF)
