TeachING Assistant Support Work in Schools Level 2 Award (RQF)
This support work in schools level 2 course is a knowledge-based, fully recognised RQF qualification. Suitable for all support staff roles in schools, including site staff, administrators as well as those who work directly with children and young people.
This support work in schools level 2 course seeks to develop the knowledge and understanding that all those working in a school setting will need and covers areas such as safeguarding, communication and understanding the school context.
As it’s a knowledge-based qualification, it can be taken by learners not yet employed in a school, as well as providing initial training/induction for those new in post.
Qualification
This teaching assistant course provides students with the perfect opportunity to gain a recognised qualification in the childcare sector without the need for placement work.
Once complete, learners that gain placement can progress onto the Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools Level 2 Certificate.

Entry Requirements
There are no previous qualifications required. However, students looking to enrol onto this course should meet the following criteria:
Be aged 16 Years or above Possess a solid knowledge of the English language Have access to a PC and the internet for the duration of the whole course Basic computer skills: e.g. Word processing, emailing, uploading documents etc Have a genuine desire to succeed
Course Duration
This course comes with 12 months of support included:
Guided Learning Hours (GLH) – 80 Hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) – 120 Hours
On average, learners will complete this course within 3 to 5 months
